Privacy at MuslimOS

Clear permissions. No advertising.

MuslimOS uses only the information needed to provide app features such as local prayer times, Qibla and optional reminders. We do not show ads or sell personal information.

Information used by the app

Most preferences, reading progress, bookmarks and saved content are kept locally on your device. If you enable location, MuslimOS uses your coordinates to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction. You can instead choose a city manually.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, MuslimOS creates an anonymous app identifier and stores a notification token, timezone, notification preferences and the location needed to schedule prayer reminders. This information is processed using Google Firebase services. You can disable notifications at any time.

Diagnostics and app activity

Firebase services may process limited technical diagnostics needed to keep notifications and cloud features reliable. When reminders are enabled, MuslimOS may also store whether a daily verse was completed so the related notification experience works correctly. We do not use this information to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Permissions

Location and notification permissions are optional and requested only when relevant. Qibla also uses your device’s compass sensors. MuslimOS does not use these permissions for advertising.

Data removal

You can clear locally stored app data by removing the app. Disabling notifications removes the associated notification token. To request deletion of cloud notification data, contact us at privacy@muslimos.co.

Azan Box launch list

If you join the Azan Box launch list, we store the email address you provide so we can send availability and product updates. We do not use it for advertising profiles or sell it. You can ask us to remove it at any time by emailing privacy@muslimos.co.

Children

MuslimOS is designed for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from children for advertising or profiling.
